Sporades Islands

The archipelago of the Sporades is composed of the islands of Alonissos, Skopelos, Skiathos, Skyros and other smaller islets. The National Marine Park, which hosts and protects many endangered marine species, including the Caretta caretta turtle, is of great ecological importance. The islands are characterized by dense pine forests, picturesque coastlines and golden sandy beaches, while typical localities, complete infrastructure, archaeological sites and important ecclesiastical monuments concentrate the interest of a large number of tourists, both Greek and foreign.
