Zakynthos Airport

Theairport of Zakynthos Dionysios Solomos (ZTH), active since 2008 and named after the greatest poet of modern Greek language, supporter of Greek independence and author of the current national anthem, is located in the south-eastern part of the island, 4 and a half kilometers from the capital, near the town of Kalamaki and the tourist resorts of Laganas and Tsilivi.

The airport is very active in the summer period when it is reached by hundreds of charter flights from all over Europe and numerous internal flights from Athens, Thessaloniki and Crete.
